Mortgage arrears
If you are in arrears with your mortgage or
any loan secured on your house you could be taken to court so your
creditors can get their money back.
What they do with your property
The bank or building society has the right to sell your house, usually
at auction, to get its money back. If your house does not achieve
what you owe, you will stay in debt. You will also have a record of
this on your credit history which will remain with you for up to six
years.

who are on the lookout for a real bargain. Look in the press or on
the Internet for examples. They sell your house cheaply just to recover
the creditor’s debt and other people make thousands from your
